After going through long meetings, the Wage Council finally sets a recommendation on the amount of the 2015 Province Minimum Wage (UMP). The recommendation will be submitted to Acting Jakarta Governor Basuki T Purnamatoday, Friday (11/14).

According to Priyono, the decision on UMP amount is governor’s prerogative right. By submitting the recommendation, it is expected that the governor decree on the 2015 UMP amount could be signed today.
Meeting to Determine the 2015 UMP Continued TodayMeanwhile, Wage Council member from entrepreneur element, Sarman Simanjorang, hopes for the determination on UMP to consider various elements, including the continuity of business sector.
“We, the entrepreneurs, hope for Acting Jakarta Governor could determine the 2015 UMP wisely and not influenced with the pressures,” he said.
